The Duke of Marlborough has professionally run kitchens currently serving great value, freshly cooked food from Wednesday to Sunday. Lunches are served on each of these days, and supper is available Wednesday to Saturday nights.

Wednesday evenings are event nights, and we serve a simple menu, perhaps a chilli or a curry.  These nights see quizzes,  cookery demonstrations, charity or music events taking place –  see our Facebook page for latest news.

Friday and Saturday we serve a range of quality British dishes, your traditional pub favourites as well as seasonal specials and contemporary twists.  Sundays see our famous roast lunches – booking recommended to guarantee a table!

Our menu changes regularly, and responds to the seasons, and aims to have a home-cooked feel.   Our chef Richard is very passionate and takes great pride in making everything here in the kitchens, ensuring the food ending up on your table is great quality and freshly cooked.

We source eggs from Gate Farm Eggs in Flowton, and meat and game are sourced locally, as far as possible.  Most of our meat is supplied by M & M at Stowupland but some of the beef is reared here in the village – you can’t get fewer food miles than that!  Buying local ensure food is fresh as possible and it means that we can support other businesses in the local area.

Vegetarian dishes are always on offer, and we can cater for gluten and other intolerances – please call ahead if you have particular concerns or requirements.

Our children’s menu is a selection of smaller main meals, such as our Sunday roasts, or a choice of chicken fillet, sausages or fish fingers with a choice of potatoes, vegetables or beans.

Yes, there is colouring and puzzles and games too to keep your little ones entertained.  We have a number of high chairs.
