WELCOME 2019-11-13T12:04:21+00:00

Welcome to the Duke of Marlborough where a traditional pub atmosphere awaits.   Under our ancient beams you will discover a unique community owned pub, saved from permanent closure in 2017 after purchase by around 250 local people.    Today the Duke is thriving business under a highly professional kitchen and management team, supported by a small but dedicated group of volunteers who help run the bar.

You will enjoy top quality, locally sourced, freshly cooked food, and a wide range of drinks – an ever changing selection of cask ales is always on tap.     Whether it’s for a morning coffee or a full Sunday roast,  you will find a warm welcome at the Duke of Marlborough from Kevin and his team.  On Wednesdays and Thursdays we have themed food nights, quizzes and music nights – check out our social media feeds for latest news!

We are 5 mins from the A14 and only 10 mins from Ipswich, Hadleigh and Needham Market.    In summer enjoy our lovely terrace, or get cosy by the wood-burning fires in winter.  There are many lovely walks through the valley from the car park – dogs are welcome inside and out.  There are so many reasons to visit – we hope to see you soon!
