Managed by husband and wife team, Claire and Matt. Visit us to enjoy high quality, freshly cooked food, and a wide range of drinks – in a building that has been welcoming people for nearly 500 years! Our kitchen produces great value, hearty meals featuring many British pub classics. Perhaps it is our Sunday Roasts that we are best known for; we use the best meat locally sourced from M&M Butchers located in Stowupland, with a fantastic gluten free roast available! In summer enjoy our lovely terrace, or get cosy by two wood-burning fires in winter. There are many lovely walks in the valley, and your dogs are very welcome too!

Absolutely brilliant. I had Cajun chicken alone a bed of rice with broccoli so flavoursome. Partner had fish and chips looked … More lovely but too good to share a bite with me. Service excellent cannot fault anything. Try it you won’t be disappointed.
